Domino’s has awarded seven charities across Australia with $20,000 through its first-ever store grant program funded by Domino’s registered charity, Give for Good.
More than $137,000 was raised from Domino’s for Good Day in February this year which will now be invested in supporting local communities.
Domino’s Australia and New Zealand CEO Josh Kilimnik says it’s great to be able to give back to causes that align closely with Domino’s values.
“We’re more than just pizza: we aim to bring people and communities closer together,” he says.
“Give for Good is about supporting causes that benefit communities, help them recover from natural disasters and that invest in our young people.
“From supporting programs for disengaged young people, funding equipment for emergency services and health services for remote Australians – we’re proud to be able to give back.”
The charities being supported all have a relationship with their local Domino’s store, which is an essential part of the selection criteria.
Mr Kilimnik says Domino’s stores pride themselves on being an integral part of the community.
“Many of these relationships were born out of hardship, whether it’s through supplying pizza during a significant flooding event or supplying vouchers to help those fleeing an unsafe relationship,” he says.
“Our local store owners are proud to be part of their local communities, and we look forward to seeing the impact that these grants have.”
The recipients of the $20,000 grants are:
- Upper Hunter Homeless Support (Domino’s Muswellbrook and Scone)
- Worldview Foundation (Domino’s Kippax)
- Goondir Health Services (Domino’s Dalby)
- Rotary Club of Ballina-on-Byron (Domino’s Alstonville)
- Gympie SES (Domino’s Gympie)
- Leaderlife Dubbo (Domino’s Dubbo)
- PCYC Bathurst (Domino’s Bathurst)
