The APCO Foundation’s second annual APCO Foundation Giving Day, held on 30 July 2024, has successfully raised just over $208,000. “This remarkable achievement reflects the collective efforts of APCO Service Stations and the generous contributions from the entire APCO community.”
The Giving Day saw APCO Service Stations come alive with festive decorations, creating an atmosphere of celebration and community spirit across all locations. It was a day dedicated not just to fundraising, but also to recognising the spirit of kindness that thrives within the APCO community.
APCO Foundation Chairperson Sharon Gleeson says: “What a sensational second annual APCO Foundation Giving Day! Together, we raised just over $208,000. The entire APCO Community came together in support of the Foundation, and honestly, we cannot believe the generosity of the people and organisations connected to APCO, especially our matching partners.
“As we reflect on another successful Giving Day, I am overwhelmed with pride and gratitude for the dedication of our volunteers, partners, and the entire APCO community. Their commitment to the cause shows that when we come together, there’s no limit to the kindness we can spread and this is truly inspiring,” she said.
The funds raised will provide financial support to many individuals in local APCO communities who are facing tough times. Ms Gleeson said, “This money will significantly impact many people in local APCO Communities who are doing it tough and need a helping hand. Everyone can be proud to know we are making a difference and fuelling kindness.”
The success of this event was significantly enhanced by the matching contributions of APCO Foundation partners, including major matching partners IGA, Campbells, and Daimler Trucks Geelong, whose commitment to doubling the donations helped achieve this amazing fundraising result.
The mission of the APCO Foundation is simply to focus on spreading kindness in APCO communities by providing financial support to individuals, families, and projects.
