Supplying 75,000 food businesses across Australia with RSPCA-approved, Australian-grown poultry, Ingham’s is the largest integrated poultry producer in Australia and New Zealand.
“Whether you’re dining at a local pub, grabbing a quick bite at a major fast-food outlet, or enjoying a meal at a restaurant, the likelihood that you’re enjoying Ingham’s poultry is high,” said Ingham’s Business Development Manager Darryn Hollywood.
“We also play a crucial role in supplying major supermarkets, ensuring that Australian chicken is readily available for home cooks across the country.”
As part of Manu Feildel’s Farm to Fork journey, he recently caught up with Mr Hollywood for a behind-the-scenes tour of a classic Australian pub and to learn more about how Ingham’s is feeding Australia.
He revealed Ingham’s products range from fresh chicken cuts to an array of flavoured and coated chicken products. Its top three most popular foodservice industry products are Devil Wing Dings, Sweet Chilli Tenders, and Tempura Breast Nuggets.
New food-service industry products, launched in the past 12 months, include Bulk 2 x 2.5kg Devil Wing Dings, and Bulk 2 x 2.5kg Tempura Breast Nuggets.
Being passionate about feeding Australia’s most vulnerable, Manu asked about Ingham’s involvement with Foodbank, making food donations.
“We’ve been a partner of Foodbank for over a decade – donating products that are perfectly edible to those who need it, which also helps to reduce food waste,” Mr Hollywood said. “Foodbank is a not-for-profit organisation that provides 77 million meals a year via charities and schools, and we are very proud to be part of this.”
Founded in 1918, Ingham’s has evolved from a small, family-owned business into the largest integrated poultry supplier in Australia. With 286 facilities scattered across the nation, Ingham’s employs over 8,200 people across operations spanning everything from breeding and hatching to processing and distribution.
