The average weekly diesel fuel price in Australia rose 0.4¢ 201.8¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 14 April, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price rose 0.4¢ to 199.9¢ a litre, while the regional price rose 0.5¢ to 203.4¢ a litre.
The most expensive diesel in the country was in the Northern Territory at 219.3¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (206.5¢), NSW/ACT (202.8¢), Queensland (202¢), Victoria (201.2¢), South Australia (200.2¢), and Western Australia (198.2¢).
Of the major cities, Perth offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 194.2¢ a litre, followed by Adelaide (195.8¢), Darwin (198.9¢), Sydney (199.8¢), Melbourne (201.1¢), Brisbane (201.6¢), Hobart (205.9¢), and Canberra (210¢).
