7-Eleven’s expansion in the west continued in 2021 with the opening of four new stores, including its first regional store at Busselton, and an additional store at Brabham expected to open before Christmas.
The company says the additional investment brings the company’s commitment to bringing choice to consumers and jobs for West Australians, to more than $47 million since opening its first WA store in October 2014.
According to 7-Eleven Area Lead – WA, Nick Maddox, the company is going to continue to grow by investing approximately $6 million in new stores in 2022.
“We expect to open about seven stores in Western Australia in 2022,” he says.
“We are incredibly excited to open our first regional store at Busselton and will continue to grow our regional network adding a new store at Treendale in early 2022.”
WA opportunities
The company’s continued investment means that job opportunities and accelerated career progression will be available for West Australians in both metropolitan and regional areas.
“Approximately 45 additional West Australians have joined our team in 2021, and we hope to have about 100 new roles available as our network continues to grow in 2022,” Mr Maddox says.
The company is also continuing to look for the right locations to bring its offer to new communities in metropolitan and regional WA.
“We are interested in sites in both established suburbs and growth corridors positioned within reach of our customers along busy commuter routes, immersed within residential precincts along connecting roads, local shopping, and community centres,” Mr Maddox says.
“Our preferred sites provide convenient access for passing traffic and suitable room for vehicle movement and easy customer parking. We’re continuing to work with landlords and developers in WA to secure locations to serve our local communities.”
