Zarraffa’s Coffee releases 10th Single Origin

Australian specialty coffee brand Zarraffa’s Coffee has unveiled its latest limited edition Single Origin bean, the Colombian Bolivar.

Colombian Bolivar is a versatile bean sourced from the municipality of Ciudad Bolívar, best known as the capital of Southwest Antioquia, which thrives at altitudes ranging from 2000m to 2600m above sea level.

With notes of citrus, cherry, honey, and dark chocolate, Colombian Bolivar offers an “exquisite” flavour profile and is best enjoyed through espresso, piccolo, cappuccino, flat white or latte but also “pairs perfectly” with any milk-based beverage.

The beans selected from Castillo and Catimore varietals in Colombia have been grown with care and respect before being naturally washed and sun-dried. “This process has resulted in a high cupping score of 84, meaning it should satisfy a wide variety of coffee drinking palettes.”

The release marks the tenth Single Origin bean for the specialty coffee retailer.

“Our 10th Single Origin launch is a momentous occasion for our brand. It signifies a decade of dedicated exploration, introducing unique flavours, and a commitment to offering our customers an unparalleled specialty coffee experience,” says Zarraffa’s Coffee CEO Marnie Sheldon.

“Zarraffa’s Single Origin beans are a must-try, they are more than just a standard coffee bean and flavour. They are premium sourced beans that are full-bodied and celebrate the journey of flavours from unique coffee growing regions all around the world.”

Colombian Bolivar joins the current Zarraffa’s Single Origin range including Tanzanian Kilimanjaro and Pearl Mountain.

Single Origin coffee is grown within a distinct geographic location, meaning either a single farm or one country. Therefore, it is influenced by specific natural attributes such as climate, landscape, and altitude where the beans are grown.

Each Single Origin bean offers a bespoke flavour, ensuring a premium coffee experience for customers and is available at all Zarraffa’s Coffee stores from 15 January.

Colombian Bolivar can be added to your favourite Zarraffa’s Coffee order and is available in 250g take-home bags for use in your home coffee machine.
