The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia fell 3.8¢ to 119.8¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 1 November, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Petrol Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell 5.5¢ 119.9¢ a litre, with the regional price fell by 0.3¢ to 119.5¢ a litre.
The most expensive unleaded in the country was in Victoria at 133.3¢ a litre, followed by Northern Territory (129.7¢), Tasmania (122.9¢), Western Australia (117.7¢), Queensland (116.0¢), NSW/ACT (114.7¢), and South Australia (107.4¢).
Of the major cities, Adelaide offered the cheapest unleaded for the week at 103.9¢ a litre, followed by Sydney (108.7¢), Brisbane (116.1¢), Perth (117.1¢), Darwin (117.1¢), Canberra (121.0¢), Hobart (123.2¢) and Melbourne (139.1¢).
