The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia dropped 1.9¢ to 119.4¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 28 June, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Petrol Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price dropped by 2.8¢ to 119.3¢ a litre, with the regional price rising by 0.2¢ to 119.6¢ a litre.
The most expensive unleaded in the country was in Northern Territory at 130.2¢ a litre, followed by South Australia (126.1¢), Tasmania (122.3¢), NSW/ACT (120.6¢), Western Australia (119.2¢), Victoria (118.1¢), and Queensland (115.8¢).
Of the major cities, Brisbane offered the cheapest unleaded for the week at 114.8¢ a litre, followed by Darwin (117.9¢), Canberra (118.3¢), Melbourne (118.7¢), Perth (118.7¢), Sydney (120.1¢), Hobart (122.3¢), and Adelaide (129.1¢).
