The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia rose 0.6¢ to 121.3¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 21 June, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Petrol Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price dropped by 1.5¢ to 122.1¢ a litre, with the regional price rising by 4.9¢ to 119.8¢ a litre.
The most expensive unleaded in the country was in Victoria at 124.2¢ a litre, followed by Northern Territory (123.7¢), NSW/ACT (123.3¢), Tasmania (121.0¢), Queensland (119.6¢), Western Australia (116.9¢), and South Australia (114.6¢).
Of the major cities, Darwin offered the cheapest unleaded for the week at 109.0¢ a litre, followed by Adelaide (114.0¢), Perth (115.9¢), Canberra (116.9¢), Brisbane (120.6¢), Hobart (121.2¢), Sydney (125.1¢), and Melbourne (126.7¢).
