The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia fell to 133.8¢ a litre nationally in the week ending November 19, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s Weekly Petrol Prices report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price rose 1.1¢ to 134¢ a litre, with the regional price up 1.1¢ to 136.3¢ a litre.
The most expensive fuel in the country was in the Northern Territory at 150.9¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (138.3¢), Western Australia (136.2¢), Queensland (133.4¢), NSW/ACT (132.7¢), South Australia (132.3¢) and Victoria (132.2¢).
Of the major cities, Sydney offered the cheapest fuel for the week at 131.1¢ a litre, followed by Adelaide (131.9¢), Brisbane and Perth (134.3¢), Melbourne (134.6¢), Canberra (137.4¢), Darwin (138.5¢) and Hobart (139.2¢).
