Weekly unleaded prices

The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia rose 3.1¢ to 119.9¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 15 November, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Petrol Prices’ report.

The average national weekly metropolitan retail price rose 5.2¢ to 121.3¢ a litre, with the regional price dropping by 1.2¢ to 117.0¢ a litre.

The most expensive unleaded in the country was in Northern Territory at 128.8¢ a litre, followed by South Australia (123.5¢), Tasmania (122.9¢), NSW/ACT (122.1¢), Western Australia (116.8¢), Victoria (119.6¢), and Queensland (116.4¢).

Of the major cities, Darwin offered the cheapest unleaded for the week at 116.0¢ a litre, followed by Perth (116.1¢), Brisbane (117.3¢), Melbourne (121.1¢), Canberra (121.1¢), Hobart (123.0¢), Sydney (125.6¢) and Adelaide (126.3¢).
