The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia fell 3.4¢ to 127.4¢ a litre nationally in the week ending February 10, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Petrol Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell 4.5¢ to 125.4¢ a litre, with the regional price falling 1.1¢ to 131.5¢ a litre.
The most expensive unleaded in the country was in the NT at 142¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (141.1¢), SA (134.2¢), WA (130.8¢), NSW/ACT (127.8¢), Queensland (124.8¢) and Victoria (123.7¢).
Of the major cities, Brisbane offered the cheapest unleaded for the week at 122.5¢ a litre, followed by Melbourne (122.9¢), Sydney (122.9¢), Darwin (127.9¢), Perth (127.9¢), Adelaide (136¢), Hobart (140.8¢) and Canberra (141.9¢).
