The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia rose 4.4¢ to 150.8¢ a litre nationally in the week ending June 24, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Petrol Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price rose 6.3¢ to 150.3¢ a litre, with the regional price up 0.4¢ to 151.8¢ a litre.
The most expensive unleaded in the country was in the NT at 162.8¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (157.9¢), NSW/ACT (152.5¢), Victoria (151.2¢), SA and WA (149.6¢) and Queensland (147.4¢).
Of the major cities, Brisbane offered the cheapest unleaded for the week at 144.6¢ a litre, followed by Perth (147.8¢), Adelaide (149.2¢), Melbourne (152.4¢), Sydney (153¢), Canberra (155¢), Darwin (155.8¢) and Hobart (157.9¢).
