The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia fell 3.0¢ to 116.8¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 12 November, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Petrol Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell 3.8¢ 116.1¢ a litre, with the regional price fell by 1.3¢ to 118.2¢ a litre.
The most expensive unleaded in the country was in Northern Territory at 129.4¢ a litre, followed by Victoria (126.3¢), Tasmania (122.8¢), Western Australia (117.3¢), NSW/ACT (115.1¢), Queensland (111.2¢), and South Australia (104.0¢).
Of the major cities, Adelaide offered the cheapest unleaded for the week at 99.8¢ a litre, followed by Brisbane (109.3¢), Sydney (111.2¢), Perth (116.6¢), Darwin (116.7¢), Canberra (121.0¢), Hobart (123.0¢) and Melbourne (129.5¢).
