The average weekly diesel fuel price in Australia fell 0.2¢ to 236¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 6 November, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell 0.3¢ to 235.3¢ a litre, while the regional price fell 0.2¢ to 236.5¢ a litre.
The most expensive diesel in the country was in the Northern Territory at 250.4¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (242.6¢), NSW/ACT (236.6¢), Queensland (236.4¢), Victoria (234.7¢), South Australia (233.9¢), and Western Australia (233.7¢).
Of the major cities, Adelaide offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 228.5¢ a litre, followed by Perth (231.5¢), Melbourne (234.9¢), Sydney (235.3¢), Brisbane (236.9¢), Canberra (238.8¢), Darwin (239.4¢), and Hobart (243.2¢).
