The average price of diesel fuel in Australia fell by 0.2¢ to 118.4¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 1 November, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell 0.2¢ to 117.0¢ a litre, while the regional price fell by 0.1¢ to 119.6¢ a litre.
The most expensive fuel in the country was in the Northern Territory at 134.6¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (130.0¢), Western Australia (118.6¢), Victoria (118.5¢), NSW/ACT (117.9¢), South Australia (117.4¢) and Queensland (116.7¢).
Of the major cities, Adelaide offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 110.0¢ a litre, followed by Sydney (114.7¢), Darwin (116.3¢), Perth (116.6¢), Brisbane (117.1¢), Melbourne (117.6¢), Canberra (121.4¢) and Hobart (132.9¢).
