The average weekly diesel fuel price in Australia fell 0.1¢ 192.5¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 23 June, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell 0.1¢ to 190.6¢ a litre, while the regional price fell 0.1¢ to 194.1¢ a litre.
The most expensive diesel in the country was in the Northern Territory at 211.5¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (195¢), Queensland (193.7¢), Victoria (193.3¢), NSW/ACT (192.7¢), South Australia (189.9¢), and Western Australia (187.5¢).
Of the major cities, Perth offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 183.3¢ a litre, followed by Adelaide (184.4¢), Darwin (187.4¢), Sydney (189.4¢), Melbourne (192.3¢), Brisbane (194¢), Hobart (194¢), and Canberra (203.3¢).
