The average price of diesel fuel in Australia fell by 0.1¢ to 150.1¢ a litre nationally in the week ending October 13, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell by 0.1¢ to 148.8¢ a litre, while the regional price fell by 0.1¢ to 151.1¢ a litre.
The most expensive fuel in the country was in the NT at 161.5¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (160.3¢), South Australia (150.4¢), Western Australia (150.4¢), NSW/ACT (149.9¢), Queensland (149.7¢) and Victoria (148.1¢).
Of the major cities, Adelaide offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 146.9¢ a litre, followed by Darwin (146.3¢), Sydney (147.5¢), Perth (148.0¢), Melbourne (148.1¢), Brisbane (149.8¢) and Hobart (160.9¢).
