The average price of diesel fuel in Australia dipped slightly by 0.2¢ to 154.4¢ a litre nationally in the week ending June 17, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell by 0.2¢ to 155¢ a litre, with the regional price also falling 0.3¢ to 153.9¢ a litre.
The most expensive diesel in the country was in the NT at 181.9¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (161¢), WA (156.9¢), NSW/ACT (153.9¢), QLD (152.5¢), SA (151.9¢) and Victoria (151.8¢).
Of the major cities, Adelaide offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 150.6¢ a litre, followed by Sydney (151.7¢), Melbourne (155.2¢), Darwin (155.3¢), Brisbane (155.6¢), Perth (156.5¢), Canberra (157¢) and Hobart (161¢).
