The average weekly diesel fuel price in Australia fell 0.6¢ to 186.2¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 13 April, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell 0.7¢ to 184.1¢ a litre, while the regional price fell 0.4¢ to 188¢ a litre.
The most expensive diesel in the country was in the Northern Territory at 207.6¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (188.4¢), Queensland (187.6¢), Victoria (185.7¢), NSW/ACT (185.4¢), South Australia (184.4¢), and Western Australia (184.1¢).
Of the major cities, Perth offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 180.9¢ a litre, followed by Sydney (181.1¢), Adelaide (181.3¢), Melbourne (183.9¢), Darwin (185.4¢), Brisbane (187.6¢), Hobart (188¢), and Canberra (193.8¢).
