The average weekly diesel fuel price in Australia fell 0.6¢ to 235.4¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 13 November, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell 0.7¢ to 234.6¢ a litre, while the regional price fell 0.4¢ to 236.1¢ a litre.
The most expensive diesel in the country was in the Northern Territory at 250.5¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (242.5¢), NSW/ACT (236.1¢), Queensland (236.1¢), Victoria (234.7¢), Western Australia (233.7¢), and South Australia (232.9¢).
Of the major cities, Adelaide offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 227.4¢ a litre, followed by Perth (229.2¢), Sydney (234.6¢), Melbourne (234.9¢), Brisbane (236.5¢), Canberra (238.7¢), Darwin (239.1¢), and Hobart (243.2¢).
