The average weekly diesel fuel price in Australia fell 0.2¢ to 202.9¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 10 March, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell 0.1¢ to 201.5¢ a litre, while the regional price fell 0.2¢ to 204.1¢ a litre.
The most expensive diesel in the country was in the Northern Territory at 219.7¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (207.6¢), NSW/ACT (203.8¢), Queensland (203.6¢), Victoria (202.1¢), South Australia (200¢), and Western Australia (199.9¢).
Of the major cities, Perth offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 195.9¢ a litre, followed by Adelaide (196.5¢), Darwin (199.4¢), Sydney (201.2¢), Melbourne (202.6¢), Brisbane (203.9¢), Hobart (206.7¢), and Canberra (209.2¢).
