The Coffee Club releases new protein beverage

The Coffee Club and Muscle Nation have collaborated on a new product, the Coffee Protein Smoothie.

The limited-time-only vanilla protein, espresso and banana-flavoured beverage has “hit overnight success for both brands with customers flocking into their local Coffee Club to power up their day.”

“We are overjoyed with the market’s response to our new collaboration, it has become a bestseller. Many of our Coffee Clubs are located near gyms and for us, it made perfect sense to put our delicious coffee and Muscle Nation’s fantastic protein together for a match made in heaven that would certainly attract coffee loving gym-goers,” says The Coffee Club Innovation & Product Development Manager Cynthia Acutt.

“Our athlete team have been absolutely loving the smoothie with many of them going to their local Coffee Club after their workouts to get their protein intake in … We’ve had an influx of tags and social media posts of customers enjoying this collaboration and multiples messages loving the convenience of the on-the-go Coffee Protein Smoothie,” says Muscle Nation spokespeople Toula Tsardanis and Jessika Katsambis.

According to Ms Acutt, the success of the Coffee Protein Smoothie and the effect of its social media storm could not have come at a better time for The Coffee Club, as the company launches a new campaign ‘Coffee Is Our Middle Name.’

“The best thing about our Coffee Protein Smoothie is how the product has highlighted the fantastic quality of our coffee and introduced it to a whole new demographic, just as we are preparing to launch our biggest coffee campaign ever,” says Ms Acutt.

The ‘Coffee Is Our Middle Name campaign’ launched on 6 March with TV and cinema advertising, social media, large impact media and more. The campaign features Melbourne-based comedian Nick Cody and focuses on The Coffee Club’s passion for all things coffee from bean to cup – “including sourcing sustainable beans, working with award-winning roasters, our knowledge and preparation of coffee, and of course perfecting the taste for every customer.”

“The Coffee Club has been obsessed with coffee for almost 33 years, it’s what we think about every day, it’s what we live and breathe. This new campaign highlights exactly that, through some hilarious scenes with comedian Nick Cody. This campaign is our biggest and most exciting to date – we cannot wait to get it out there,” says The Coffee Club CEO Nick Bryden.

The Coffee Club has been providing good food, great service and excellent coffee since launching in the market in 1989.

The Coffee Club x Muscle Nation Coffee Protein Smoothie is available in stores until 29 March 2022 subject to availability.
