Square’s native Uber Eats integration launches in Australia

Payments platform Square has announced the Australian extension of its global partnership with Uber.

Introducing Square’s native Uber Eats integration to Australia, the partnership is part of a global expansion including Canada, the UK and the US.

The integration enables restaurants to:

  • Manage all orders directly through their Square POS system, which enables operators to see all of their activity in one place and make data-driven decisions and optimisations instantly.
  • Eliminate the need for additional tablets and streamline kitchen workflows.
  • Control menus, modifiers, and inventory across channels from a single dashboard.
  • Access Instant Payouts to maintain steady cash flow.
  • Reach “millions” of Uber Eats customers while maintaining operational efficiency across global markets.

Uber Eats ANZ Managing Director Lucas Groeneveld says running a business is incredibly busy, and technology should make things simpler.

“This integration gives restaurants using Square another way to manage Uber Eats orders within the tools they already use to run their business,” he says. “Ultimately, it’s about giving our partners more choice in how they work with Uber Eats and helping make their day-to-day operations easier.”

Square Australia Executive Director Marco Lamantia says the payments platform is dedicated to finding new ways to support the Australian hospitality industry and help restaurants operate more efficiently.

“This partnership reflects our shared ambitions to empower businesses with technology that simplifies day-to-day operations, which enables them to focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences,” he says.
