Petronas Syntium with CoolTech lubricant is claimed to be uniquely formulated to fight excessive engine heat, keep smooth oil flow and maintain optimum engine performance for a trouble-free drive.
The engine oil is described as having been engineered with strong oil chains to effectively absorb and transfer excessive engine heat caused by modern driving conditions such as traffic congestion, driving up steep inclines and continuous acceleration on highways.
It was developed and tested at the Petronas laboratories in Turin, Italy, to ensure it performs well as the first line of defence against excessive engine heat.
Group Managing Director and CEO of Petronas Lubricants International Giuseppe D’Arrigo says Petronas Syntium with CoolTech is proven to outperform conventional oil, being up to 63 per cent better in heat-transfer capacity, to better handle escalating heat inside the engine, and up to 51 per cent more efficient than conventional oil in dissipating damaging excessive engine heat.
He says these benefits help to keep engines running at close to normal engine-operating temperature, even under severe driving conditions.

The product launch marks Petronas Syntium’s debut in the Australian market. Petronas Lubricants International began its Australian operations back in 2000, teaming up with CNH Industrial and Iveco. In 2016, Petronas began progressively offering its high-performance-product portfolio to the Australian automotive industry.
“Since opening our Australian office in 2016, we’ve seen increasing demand for our high-quality synthetic motor oils by all user groups,” Mr D’Arrigo said. “This launch officially provides Australian drivers with access to a premium motor oil that delivers optimum driving performance and reliability.”
