Petrol Price Update

The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia decreased 0.3¢ to 111.6¢ a litre nationally in the week ending February 7, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Petrol Prices’ report.

The average national weekly metropolitan retail price increased 0.3¢ to 109.2¢ a litre, with the regional price decreasing 1.3¢ a litre to 116.5¢ a litre.

The most expensive fuel in the country was in NT at 127.0¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (124.3¢), Queensland (118.2¢), WA (117.7¢), SA (114.0¢), NSW/ACT (107.5¢), and Victoria (106.6¢).

Of the major cities, Sydney offered the cheapest fuel for the week at 100.7¢ a litre, followed by Melbourne (104.2¢), Adelaide (113.2¢), Perth (114.9¢), Brisbane (118.4¢), Canberra (123.1¢), Hobart (124.0¢). Darwin (124.2¢).
