OTR is proud to confirm they will open their latest multimillion-dollar development and fourth Victorian Store, OTR Stawell on Wednesday 22nd April 2020.
OTR Stawell is one of the largest OTR sites and has created more than 50 new retail jobs in the local community. The exciting new store will provide the Stawell community with its first opportunity to come in and enjoy Hungry Jack’s flame-grilled burgers and the new Truck Stop.
Providing ultimate convenience, the OTR Stawell store will be open 24/7 and also offer locally-roasted, barista-made C Coffee, freshly squeezed OhJ! and New York-style hot dogs Moe’s Dog & Shake, a specially curated range of supermarket essentials, premium range of Advantage fuel, a HappyWash automatic car wash and OTR brands EAT and CHILL providing fresh drinks, pastries and sandwiches.
The new OTR store has ample truck & bus parking, a full-service Diner and “Truckie Lounge”, including laundry facilities and showers, to ensure truck drivers can enjoy a hearty meal or rest and refresh while on the road, as they pass through Stawell.
To support the well-being of customers and team member amid the COVID-19 pandemic, OTR Stawell will have easily accessible hand sanitiser and hand wash facilities, as well an increased schedule of cleaning high-touch areas. OTR team members receive extensive training on food safety, money handling, and additional ways to minimise health risks for both our customers and team.
OTR General Manager, Darryl Cotter said, “We aim to give customers the very best in convenience retailing with our award-winning fuel and food offers. If you need flowers for a loved one, a coffee in the morning or a quick snack after work, some supermarket necessities any time of the day or night; OTR has you covered.
“The OTR Stawell store affirms our commitment to investing in regional towns and champion job growth across Australia, with 400 positions created last year alone. As with all our OTR stores, we aim to become an integral part of the local community and region, by supporting community groups, events and sporting clubs,” continued Mr Cotter.
As an Australian family business operating for over 30 years, OTR has more than 150 stores and employs over 3,200 people across Australia. The Stawell OTR store will be Victoria’s fourth, after Irymple (which opened in 2015), Portland (June 2019) and Horsham Wilson St (March 2020). A second Horsham store is due to open in the coming weeks.
Additionally, OTR is a retail leader in community engagement and corporate social responsibility, including food recycling through Foodbank, which has created over 220,000 meals in the last 12 months for families in need. OTR Stawell will also provide life-saving access to a public defibrillator to support all members of the community.
Customers are also encouraged to help OTR give back to charity groups through their innovative OTRGive. The program works through the OTR App; every time a customer shops or refuels at OTR with the OTR App, OTR donates on the customer’s behalf to the community group of their choice – at no cost to the customer.
Donations to the community through OTRGive are nearing $270,000, and OTR Stawell customers can download the OTR App to receive their first regular C Coffee for free and have ongoing access to OTR’s ‘Buy 4 Get 1 Free’ Rewards.
