Noosa Chocolate Factory appoints new CEO

Noosa Chocolate Factory has appointed Marcus Raward as its new CEO.

According to the Queensland brand, Mr Raward brings a strong commercial and financial background to the role, with deep experience in guiding businesses through growth, market change and operational evolution.

Mr Raward says he’s excited to lead the iconic brand and to refocus on what has always set Noosa Chocolate Factory apart.

“Noosa Chocolate Factory has a remarkable story, a loyal customer base and a product range defined by flavour, craftsmanship and creativity,” he says.

“My focus is on celebrating the brands’ roots, shining a light on what makes our products different from other chocolate and confectionery brands whilst moving the business forward into an even stronger commercial position.”

The appointment follows a period of industry-wide challenges, including significant volatility in global cocoa prices. While these pressures have affected chocolate manufacturers globally, Mr Raward says the market is beginning to stabilise.

“Cocoa prices have been a real challenge across the sector, but we are now seeing signs of plateauing,” he says. “At the same time, consumer demand for quality chocolate remains strong, which presents a real opportunity for a brand like Noosa Chocolate Factory.”

The business continues to expand its retail footprint, recently opening a new store at Westfield Chermside. Renovations at the Sunshine Plaza store are also underway, with the refreshed location set to reopen early this month.

“These investments reflect our confidence in the brand and in the ongoing appetite for quality, hand-crafted chocolate,” says Mr Raward. “We’re focused on sustainable growth that stays true to who we are.”
