NANA CEO to retire

The Newsagents Association of NSW & ACT (NANA) Board has announced the retirement of its CEO, Andrew Packham.

Mr Packham notified the board early last month that he was soon to undergo major spinal surgery and has worked with the board and staff to enable him to finish today.

The NANA board thanked Mr Packham for his 10 years of dedication to NANA in a statement issued by President Greg Handley.

“We particularly highlight his drive to bring NANA and the ANF closer together that resulted in the current alliance signed in 2011,” the statement said.

“It has also been invaluable to have Andrew working on the expiry of the Lotteries Moratorium this year, given his involvement in 2010 in both the moratorium negotiations and also as NANA led in a bid consortium for NSW Lotteries.

“The NANA Board wishes Andrew the very best for his impending surgery, with a speedy recovery.”
