Mrs Mac’s new owner

Much-loved pie producer Mrs Mac’s Pie Company has been sold to Aus Pie Co.

Mrs Mac’s has a proud history dating back to 1954 and its range of pies, pasties and sausage rolls are available in selected supermarkets, convenience stores, cafes, stadiums and food service outlets across Australia and New Zealand.

Bruce Feodoroff, CEO of Aus Pie Co says the acquisition will ensure the brand’s tradition continues.

“Mrs Mac’s has a bright future ahead,” he said. “We have plans to revitalize the company with further investment and improve the range, without sacrificing the flavour’s Australians and New Zealanders love.”

Aus Pie Co’s plans include engagement with staff across the Mrs Mac’s business to improve the quality of its products, says Mr Feodoroff, adding that production will remain local.

“Our manufacturing will stay in Australia and increase as we export more and more to other countries across the globe. This is great news for all the Mr Macs workers and means that their jobs are secure long term,” he said.

“We are on a mission to grow this great business and brand both locally and internationally which is a great new story for Australian food production. We are really proud to ensure that Mrs Mac’s tradition continues particularly as so many other food companies have moved production overseas,” Mr Feodoroff said.

Mrs Mac’s is Australia’s second largest Pie manufacturer and produces hundreds of thousands of pies a day.
Established as a family-owned business, it has built a reputation for quality products and practices, including the use of 100 per cent Australian beef, fresh vegetables and local producers wherever possible, while the pastry is still made the traditional way.
