Menulog is rolling out a new AI assistant, powering a “smarter, faster” way for Australians to order their favourite meals from local restaurants.
The AI assistant helps customers search, customise and place orders via text-based chat, while receiving personalised restaurant and meal recommendations tailored to their tastes and desires.
“As Australia’s appetite for digital convenience continues to grow, our AI assistant is designed to deliver a more intuitive way to find what you’re craving,” says Menulog Head of Operations Ariane Fitzpatrick.
“We’re excited to roll out this innovation to give Aussies more choice and convenience while ordering their favourites or exploring hidden gems in their area.”
The AI assistant was developed by Menulog’s parent company, Just Eat Takeaway.com (JET), promoted as one of the world’s largest on-demand delivery platforms. After a successful pilot in the UK, the tool is now being rolled out across several global markets, including Australia, with multilingual support planned as part of its wider expansion. The AI assistant will continue to evolve based on user feedback, with new features and refinements already in the pipeline.
The AI assistant is part of JET’s broader innovation program, which includes other “cutting-edge” initiatives such as drone deliveries and in-car ordering.
Menulog and JET are committed to the responsible and transparent use of AI, with a governance framework in place to ensure all AI tools are “fair, secure, and respectful” of user privacy.
