IRI has launched an innovative series of educational events ‘Ideas to Activate’ for the FMCG retail sector to address trends, opportunities and issues impacting retail. The events will be held online on a quarterly basis and the first event entitled ‘On the Pulse’ takes place on Wednesday, 30 March 2022 and will focus on e-retail.
IRI Chief Commercial Officer Australia and Asia Pacific Alistair Leathwood says the ‘Ideas to Activate’ series will provide much needed support, information, clarity and guidance for the FMCG retail sector on how world events, the economy, policy settings, changing consumer sentiment, industry trends and other micro and macro issues are impacting the FMCG retail sector and how retailers and manufacturers can capture a greater share of wallet in store and online.
Mr Leathwood said: “The ‘Ideas to Activate’ first quarterly event ‘On the Pulse’ will focus specifically on e-retail and it will provide retailers and manufacturers with the opportunity to access up to date information and insights regarding the shopping behaviour and activities of online consumers across the country.
“The pandemic gave e-commerce an unprecedented boost, with sales increasing for retailers across the spectrum. While we are still coming out of the Covid cloud, e-retail is continuing to accelerate at an unparalleled rate and this is creating both opportunities and challenges for the sector.
“The event will provide important market intelligence on the latest consumer and shopper industry trends and where and how retailers and manufacturers can maximise their participation in the online shopping environment,” he said.
“The quarterly series is free for members of the retail sector to attend and each event has been crafted to only take up to 50 minutes in delivery. Retail is a busy environment and our events are designed to provide critical information during a concise period of time. Naturally if event attendees require additional information or assistance, our highly experienced consultants are available to assist outside of our events.”
The quarterly series is ideal for brand managers, marketing managers and other people involved in the growth of brands within their organisations.
