Hey Tiger has released its first-ever Christmas Collection. This season’s new Christmas Collection includes three blocks; fan favourite Oh Crumbs (Caramel & Gingerbread White Chocolate), and two new flavours Legendary Aunt Linda (Spekulaas Cookie and Cherry Milk Chocolate) and Squirreled Away (Waffle and Hazelnut Milk Chocolate).
“This Christmas it’s more important than ever to gift consciously, and this also matters when it comes to gifting sweet treats like chocolate. The chocolate industry has a dark side, with most cocoa farmers earning less than $1 a day and often resorting to the use of child labour to keep up with competitive pricing. There are reports that as many as 2.1 million children in the Ivory Coast and Ghana (two major cocoa farming regions) are exposed to child labour,” the brand said.
“So, this festive season two per cent from each Hey Tiger Christmas collection sold will be donated to The Hunger Project and will go towards women’s empowerment and entrepreneurship and social development programs. This means every block is helping to create a more equitable and ethical cocoa industry this Christmas.”
