Worthy Cause, a charity that raises funds for important causes through food, has introduced a range of delicious, chewy cookies with each purchase going towards helping vulnerable people build a better life.
The cookie range includes five flavours including classic choc chip, Caramilk birthday cake, Nutella choc chip and peanut butter choc chip. Available to purchase in packs of two, the cookies come in heat-sealed compostable and recyclable bags for maximum freshness.
Based in Coburg North and founded by Rick Cohen, Worthy Cause employs vulnerable people who, due to disability or disadvantage, have not been able to find long-term employment.
“Worthy Cause is determined to give as many people as possible the chance to better their lives. Employees receive a stable income, mentorship, soft-skills training and support in an inclusive and safe environment,” says Mr Cohen.
“Every person we help deserves the respect and opportunity to work for a better life, and through purchasing our cookies, Australians can help them get one step closer to achieving that.”
Mr Cohen and the Worthy Cause team work in their commercial kitchen to create scrumptious cookies made to order via online sales, retail partners and market stalls.
Cookie lovers can also subscribe and receive two packs of cookies either weekly or monthly.
The charitable cookie range is currently available in selected IGA stores, Cinemas Nova, Lamanna & Sons and are available for wholesale purchase.
