Grill’d serves up another burger with F1 star Oscar Piastri

Ahead of the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix, Grill’d has launched an all-new Oscar Piastri Burger.

The Oscar Piastri Burger Chicken Burger marks the official announcement of an extended partnership between Grill’d and Melbourne-born Formula 1 driver Oscar Piastri.

After the Oscar Piastri Wagyu Burger launched last year, and “quickly became a fan favourite”, Grill’d says it’s back with a “brand-new contender for the starting grid”.

Grill’d founder Simon Crowe says the year-long partnership is about celebrating a homegrown talent and continuing the momentum from last year.

“We’re incredibly proud to be extending our partnership with Oscar for another year,” he says.

“He represents everything we believe in, precision, commitment and performing at the highest level, Oscar’s an Aussie hero and we’re stoked to be entering the next lap of this collaboration together.

“After the incredible response to the first Oscar burger, we wanted to go even bigger this year, adding a new chicken option. It’s high-protein, full of flavour and built for performance, without compromising on taste. We can’t wait for customers to try it – it may even be our best burger yet.”

Mr Piastri says the new burger is the perfect way to celebrate the season ahead.

“I loved seeing how fans got around the first burger, so it’s been really fun teaming up with Grill’d again to create something new,” he says.

“I’ve genuinely always loved Grill’d burgers – they’ve been a go-to for me, so getting to work together on this one has been pretty special. This year is a fresh take – it’s packed with flavour, and I can’t wait for everyone to try it ahead of the GP.”

About the burger

The Oscar Piastri Burger Chicken Burger is promoted as being “built for maximum flavour with zero compromises”.

It stacks an RSPCA approved chicken breast on a charcoal bun with crispy bacon, aged cheddar, shredded carrot, cos lettuce, avocado, Spanish onion, plus “supercharged” OP chipotle mayo and native Davidson plum barbecue sauce. This is served in new packaging, inspired by Mr Piastri’s “high-performance” world.

The burger, said to be “high in protein, low in sugar and big on flavour”, is available nationwide for $18.90. Customers can enjoy the new burger as part of the “ultimate” Oscar Piastri Pack, including Grill’d Snack Chips, Lipton Peach Iced Tea and the signature OP Chipotle Mayo dip.

For fans of the Oscar Piastri Wagyu Burger, Grill’d says the original is officially here to stay. Thanks to overwhelming demand, this fan favourite has earned a permanent spot on the Grill’d menu.

Beyond the restaurant

Taking the partnership from restaurant to home, Grill’d are also launching the Oscar Piastri Burger at Coles.

Australians can now pick up the Grill’d Oscar Piastri Wagyu Burgers two-pack (330g) for a limited time.

“Each pack includes the signature OP chipotle mayo sachet and is available for just $12, giving everyone the chance to enjoy the iconic Oscar Piastri Burger from the comfort of their own home and extending the excitement of the Grand Prix straight to the kitchen,” says Grill’d.
