OTR opened its first store in 1984 in the Adelaide suburb of Woodville. Today, the retailer has 155 stores across South Australia and a further six in regional Victoria.
According to OTR General Manager Customer Offer Natalie Dalbo, one of the retailer’s key differentiators is its extensive range of curated products, designed to meet every occasion that its customers shop for.
“Our commitment to truly ‘making life easy’ drives our strategy to have a great range of products across traditional P&C occasions, as well as turning our attention to many of the occasions currently owned by supermarkets but more conveniently serviced by P&C,” she says.
Ms Dalbo says that during the pandemic, OTR has been “very much insulated” against the immediate effects of the lockdowns and the longer-term trend of people working from home, as the retailer services more than just the immediate food-on-the-go occasion.
