Coles announces three-year enterprise agreement

Coles says team members voted overwhelmingly in favour of the new agreement that will deliver an average annual wage increase of three per cent each year.

The new agreement, which covers more than 75,000 team members, was endorsed in a ballot that closed on May 5 and will now be submitted to the Fair Work Commission for final approval.

“We are pleased our team members have endorsed the enterprise agreement, which not only delivers increased benefits and flexibility, but reduces complexity so we can continue to offer great prices and service for our customers,” Coles Operations and Supply Chain Director Andy Coleman said.

“Young team members will be major beneficiaries of the new agreement, with additional wage increases for 18 and 19 year olds that will get their retail careers off to a great start.”

Coles is also offering additional support to families, with step-parents now treated the same as biological parents with up to five days’ compassionate leave, and an additional type of leave for team members who experience domestic violence.
