CAPI moves from plastic to paper

Australian beverage brand, CAPI, has announced a significant shift in its commitment to sustainability and consumer experience. With the upcoming launch of a packaging refresh and a new website, CAPI is “making it easier than ever for consumers to enjoy their favourite beverages while also working to minimise their environmental impact.”

Driven by a continued effort to improve the sustainability of its products, CAPI has made the decision to transition from plastic bottle labels to paper labels. The move ensures that “every part of the CAPI glass bottle can now be recycled, eliminating the previous limitations posed by plastic labels and resulting in packaging that not only looks and feels more premium, but is also 100% recyclable.”

“We are excited to introduce our new paper labels out into the market,” says CAPI Director of Brand & Innovation Thurman Wise. “As we are always looking for ways to improve the sustainability of our products, we have transitioned to new label material which reduces waste in the recycling process and in turn our impact on the environment around us.”

Beyond its sustainability commitment, CAPI also sought to improve on-shelf visibility at retail stores and enhance the premium quality of its packaging. The new label design will mean CAPI bottles are more easily identifiable and aesthetically pleasing on the shelf.

“This change is not only beneficial for the brand but also for consumers, making it simpler to find CAPI’s drinks and enhancing the overall shopping experience. And by choosing premium paper stock with foil detail, and high quality adhesive, the brand has ensured that the labels

will have strong resistance to moisture and impressive print integrity and colour reproduction.”

The packaging refresh is set to go live mid-November 2023, and can be found at retailers and venues across Australian.
