Since 2013, Caltex staff and customers have supported the Make-A-Wish charity by raising funds to help realise the wishes of some seriously ill children through the Star Mart Wish Drive.
Between November and December last year, 649 stores across Australia took part in the campaign, with Caltex Star Mart sites raising $166,000 for the charity with on-site activities and gold-coin collections.
Caltex General Manager of Retail Operations Karen Bozic praised the generosity of all who contributed to the fundraising effort.
“As a proudly Australian company, it’s important for us to support the communities in which we work, live and operate,” she said.
A spokesperson for Make-A-Wish Australia says the charity is thrilled with the outcome of the Star Mart Wish Drive. “These funds will help us make even more life-changing wishes come true for very sick kids and teenagers all over Australia,” the spokesperson said.
