Ampol has launched a new fundraising campaign across its national retail network to raise funds for The Smith Family’s 2021 Winter Appeal.
At participating Ampol Foodary sites through June and July, 10 cents from the sale of every $2 or $3 Foodary hot coffee will be donated to The Smith Family. Customers can also choose to donate at the register.
Ampol Executive General Manager, Retail, Brand and Culture Joanne Taylor says that the company is proud to support the Winter Appeal.
“Ampol is proud of the positive contribution we make in the communities we operate in,” she says.
“The Smith Family’s Winter Appeal is another great example of engaging our people and our customers to make a difference for those in need.
“As Australia’s own fuel and energy brand, it is our passion to support the lives of young Australians and partnering with The Smith Family to support the education of children experiencing disadvantage will drive long-lasting positive impact.”
The Smith Family Acting CEO Judy Barraclough says the charity is delighted to have Ampol leveraging its networks to boost the 2021 Winter Appeal.
“Supporting children to achieve at school, year after year, is the best way to help them break the cycle of disadvantage,” she says.
“Funds given by generous donors will go towards extra educational support for more than 12,000 young Australians. This includes a range of numeracy, literacy and mentoring programs delivered outside of school.
“We’re grateful to have the generous help of Ampol and its customers. Ultimately they’re helping us give more young Australians in need the chance to build aspirations for their futures and reach their full potential.”
