7-Eleven Australia celebrates the spirit of store leaders

7-Eleven Australia has recognised franchisees and store managers for living its values at awards dinners held in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

According to 7-Eleven CEO Angus McKay the Spirit Awards celebrate the mutual commitment 7-Eleven, its franchisees and store managers have to the company’s values.

“Our values are at the heart of who we are, and how we strive to conduct ourselves in operating our businesses,” he said.

“Our franchisees and store managers are valued business partners, and together we are growing our businesses by providing great service and value to our customers. I’m really pleased to be able to recognise some of their outstanding achievements through the 7-Eleven Spirit Awards.”

The 2017 Spirit Awards categories and winners are:

Fairness and integrity – “We act with sensitivity and embrace the highest standards. We are part of a community and behave with respect and social responsibility”.

  • Victoria: Bernard Indran Constantine, 7-Eleven Frankston.
  • NSW: Paul Stevens, Kasi Kolahalam, and Peter Nath, 7-Eleven Kelso.
  • Queensland: Rav Sahu and Rahul Bhardwaj, 7-Eleven Harristown.

Strive for excellence – “We are restless, hungry to be better and always learning. We pride ourselves on our standards and look to always improve upon them”.

  • Victoria: Theresa Zhou, 7-Eleven Port Melbourne.
  • Western Australia: Tabish and Rosina Noamani, 7-Eleven Midvale.
  • NSW: Addy Mohammed, 7-Eleven Albion Park Northbound, 7-Eleven Lake Illawarra.
  • Queensland: Zhe Qi and Liang Ting, 7-Eleven Mermaid Waters.

Customers at the heart – “We use insight to drive our thinking and continually strive to satisfy their ever-changing needs through innovation and creativity”.

  • Victoria: Mourad Hanania, 7-Eleven Collins Street.
  • NSW: Raj Kochhar, 7-Eleven Emu Plains.

Mr McKay says the stories behind each nomination showcase the difference these inspiring store leaders are making in their stores, with their teams and in their communities, through embodying 7-Eleven’s five values.
