A new snack food company has launched in Melbourne, aiming to fill the gap in the market for innovative, high-quality snacks that provide great value and incredible taste.
SnackHQ is founded by seasoned FMCG industry professionals, including three former founders of Gourmet Food; the creators of successful brands including OB Finest, Olina’s Bakehouse and Ocean Blue.
SnackHQ develops and manufactures all products in-house, allowing it to be agile and deliver quality and value in the snacking category, which consumers are increasingly prioritising.
“We created SnackHQ because we saw the need for nutritious and genuinely great tasting lunchbox and snacking products,” said Todd Wilson, Co-Founder and Chair, SnackHQ.
“As we manufacture our own ranges, we can adapt quickly and bring new ideas to life faster, just as we did in the premium cracker categories with Gourmet Food. With a commitment to creating high-quality, nutritious products, we plan on reshaping the snacking category with healthy and delicious options that reflect our industry expertise and passion for innovation.”
Snack launches
With three Natural Fruit Slice bars currently available at Woolworths, SnackHQ is launching its new ReFil snack bars this month and has several new product launches in the pipeline.
ReFil is SnackHQ’s new bar for older kids that strikes the balance between a nutritious snack and a tasty chocolate treat. ReFil bars have a 5 Health Star Rating and are packed with goodness to support growing bodies. Each bar contains 9g of prebiotic fibre and 6g of protein, and there are no artificial flavours or colours, less than one teaspoon of sugar per bar and zero sugar alcohols.
The new ReFil range includes single 30g snack bars in three flavours: Iced Chocolate, Dipped Strawberry and Dipped Churro. The Iced Chocolate and Dipped Strawberry bars are also available in multipacks of four bars.
SnackHQ’s Head of Sales and Marketing, Julia Clark, says ReFil was designed with older children in mind.
“We developed ReFil to fill the gap in the market for snacking products for upper primary school-aged kids and teens, an age when kids have more discretion when it comes to taste but still need nourishing food for their mind and body,” she said.
“We are delighted with the market tasting feedback we have received so far, and are busy developing more flavours, including a caramel flavour that will be launched later in the year.”
ReFil snack bars are now available from selected IGA supermarkets, independent retailers and online at Amazon.com.au. Single bars are RRP $2.75 each, multipacks are RRP $8.90.
