The average weekly diesel fuel price in Australia fell 0.3¢ to 190.5¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 23 February, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell 0.3¢ to 189.2¢ a litre, while the regional price fell 0.3¢ to 191.6¢ a litre.
The most expensive diesel in the country was in the Northern Territory at 209.1¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (193.7¢), Queensland (191¢), Victoria (191¢), NSW/ACT (190.4¢), South Australia (188.5¢), and Western Australia (187.6¢).
Of the major cities, Adelaide offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 183.2¢ a litre, followed by Perth (184.4¢), Darwin (187.1¢), Sydney (188.1¢), Melbourne (190.1¢), Brisbane (191.8¢), Hobart (193.5¢), and Canberra (196.5¢).
