Tony’s Chocolonely unwraps Christmas collection

Tony’s Chocolonely has unveiled the “ultimate ethical stocking filler”, its Christmas collection featuring “traceable, fairly sourced” cocoa treats.

Ahead of the holiday season, the brand is bringing back its edible tree-shaped ornaments, which can be put in or under the Christmas tree. They are available in Milk Chocolate Gingerbread and Dark Chocolate Candy Cane (vegan) flavours.

Also returning is Tony’s giant, book-shaped Countdown Calendar, packed with 25 “impact-making” Tiny Tony’s in 10 different flavours, ethically sourced through its 5 Sourcing Principles. This ensures 100% traceable cocoa beans, long-term partnerships with cocoa cooperatives, paying a higher price for cocoa to enable a living income for farmers and investing in sustainable practices to boost productivity and quality.

To highlight the ongoing inequality in the cocoa industry, Tony’s Countdown Calendar is unequally divided, too.

“Our holiday collection demonstrates that premium chocolate can be both delicious and ethical,” says Tony’s Chocolonely Chief of Markets Matthew Webb.

“By maintaining 100% cocoa bean traceability and fostering long-term cooperative partnerships, we’re setting new industry standards for fair trade practices.”

The Christmas tree ornaments (RRP $9.95), and Countdown Calendar (RRP $42.95) will be available through major retailers and specialty food stores nationwide.
