First Press welcomes new dairy iced coffee

Melbourne-based cold drip coffee specialist First Press has welcomed a new line to its range: First Press Cold Drip Dairy Iced Coffee 350mL carton (RRP $4.50).

Available at Woolworths this month and then independents in January, the quadruple shot beverage is claimed to be the strongest ready to drink iced coffee in the market.

It’s made by cold dripping ethically sourced and 100% specialty grade coffee beans. The coffee liquid is blended with full cream milk and a dash of raw sugar. Each serve contains only 7g of added sugar per 350ml serve.

First Press Coffee is dedicated to ensuring the sustainability of its products. While the majority of each carton is made from FSC®-certified paper board, an amount of plastic and aluminium is needed to protect the coffee and keep it fresh. First Press has switched the source of the 20-25% plastic component of each carton from fossil fuels to tall oil, a plant-based byproduct of paper production.

First Press was launched in 2013 by founders Jimmy Elias and Hamish Walmsley, who saw the potential for a ‘better for you’ convenient specialty coffee. From their initial 10-shot black cold drip coffee in a 500ml bottle, First Press now creates a range of beverages is now available in over 2000 locations in Australia.

The brand is committed to only using the specialty grade coffee, which is any coffee that has been independently graded and farmed at a significantly higher than average standard. All of its coffee is extracted only through their innovative cold drip machines, custom built by co-founder Hamish.
