JAX Tyres & Auto teams up with the NBCF this Pinktober

JAX Tyres & Auto, in partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), is asking Australians to support research for breast cancer through its ‘Put a Cap on Breast Cancer’ initiative.

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October (Pinktober), JAX Tyres & Auto is encouraging Australians to stand together to raise funds to support breast cancer research, by purchasing pink tyre valve caps. All donations will go directly to NBCF, with contributions starting at just $10.

“With breast cancer diagnoses increasing by 24% in the last 10 years it is more important than ever to keep the wheels moving on breast cancer research,” says JAX Tyres & Auto. JAX Tyres & Auto’s ‘Put a Cap on Breast Cancer’ campaign, so far, has raised $16,000 for NBCF, and is hoping to get to $21,000 by the end of October to represent the 21,000 Australians diagnosed with breast cancer each year.

JAX franchisees have been doing what they can to support NBCF, with Renae McPhee from JAX Tyres & Auto Caloundra donating 400 pink caps to LogicHaul, to be fitted on their trucks across Australia. JAX Rockhampton franchisee owner Brent Flanagan took action by organising a special event at the store where $750 was raised for NBCF, which was then matched by Mr Flanagan, resulting in $1,500 being donated to breast cancer research.

JAX Tyres & Auto Chief Franchising Operations Officer April Harwood says, “We are so proud to be associated with such an important cause, our stores are all very passionate about our partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation and the ‘Put a Cap on Breast Cancer’ initiative is a testament to this. We encourage everyone to join us, purchase pink valve caps, and help us reach our goal of $21,000 by the end of October.”

National Breast Cancer Foundation CEO and Associate Professor Cleola Anderiesz says, “The National Breast Cancer Foundation is so grateful for the continued support of JAX Tyres & Auto. Every cap sold not only raises crucial funds for cancer research but also helps spread awareness about the impact of breast cancer. We hope to see pink caps on vehicles all over Australia.”
