The average weekly diesel fuel price in Australia fell 1.1¢ 192.6¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 16 June, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell 0.9¢ to 190.7¢ a litre, while the regional price fell 1.2¢ to 194.2¢ a litre.
The most expensive diesel in the country was in the Northern Territory at 211.9¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (195.9¢), Queensland (193.8¢), Victoria (193.1¢), NSW/ACT (192.7¢), South Australia (190¢), and Western Australia (187.8¢).
Of the major cities, Perth offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 183.6¢ a litre, followed by Adelaide (185.2¢), Darwin (187.7¢), Sydney (189.4¢), Melbourne (192.2¢), Brisbane (194¢), Hobart (195¢), and Canberra (203.7¢).
