7-Eleven opened a new store in Western Australian last Thursday (27 July).
7-Eleven Dalyellup is the fourth store to open in the Bunbury area, with three stores opening in the last six weeks, and the fifth store in the South West.
According to the retailer, its expansion in WA has seen the company invest more than $55 million since it launched its first store in the state in late 2014.
This investment is expected to continue across WA as the brand looks to develop its network to meet consumer needs in the years ahead.
7-Eleven Area Lead South Nick Maddox says the retailer’s growth in the state provides career opportunities, as well as jobs when the stores are built and fitted out.
“Our team in WA now includes approximately 600 people, with quite a number of the team growing in their careers with us through development and internal promotions. Our team in the South West is approximately 50 people,” he says.
“We’re incredibly proud of our multi-million-dollar investment in WA which will see us continue to look for new opportunities with landlords and developers to open stores in the right locations to serve local communities.”
Jocelin Lawson, who started in the team at Busselton, is moving across to Dalyellup to lead the team of ten.
“Our new Dalyellup store will be open 24/7 with daily deliveries so our customers can enjoy our sandwiches and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts delivered daily,” she says.
“We’ll have hot pastries, snacks and treats, as well as our freshly ground Fairtrade Certified coffee, Slurpee including Slurpee No Sugar and the 7-Eleven Smoothies and Frappés.
“Our customers can [also] download the My 7-Eleven App and use the Fuel Price Lock feature to lock in a price on our fuel when it might be lower. It means customers can choose to fill up using the price they have locked in anytime that suits them within the next seven days. As a bonus, the app has loyalty rewards, offers, discounts and can be linked with your Velocity Frequent Flyer card to earn points.”
