Red Rooster opens EV charging site in NT

Red Rooster and Evie Networks have unveiled an electric vehicle (EV) charging network at a site in the Northern Territory.

The new site, located at Marrara Red Rooster, is now open and home to two Evie Networks 50kW DC fast chargers. This is Evie Networks’ 104th site and its first in the NT.

“The partnership with Red Rooster was formed due to a shared focus on the local community, quality customer experience, and recognising how we can both make a sustainable difference,” says Evie Networks CEO Chris Mills.

“We are committed to delivering accessible, everyday charging solutions to our customers and are excited to share that the Red Rooster Marrara site means Evie Networks officially has a presence in every state and territory in Australia.”

The partnership marks the second Red Rooster site following the opening of the Red Rooster Vermont (Victoria) Evie Networks charging site in July last year.

“Our partnership with Evie is really starting to build momentum and I’m confident the success of this second site in Marrara NT will unlock a network of chicken and charging across the country leveraging our A-grade network locations, with Evie’s passion and expertise,” says Red Rooster/Craveable Brands Chief Development Officer Simon Thompson.

“We’ve been very humbled by the unconditional support of our long standing landlord Meredith Koch who showed no hesitation in supporting this great initiative.

“Also, a big thank you to our franchisees at Marrara for supporting this initiative. Combined with the recent restaurant refurbishment, this will give our customers even more reasons to pop and recharge both the car and the hungry kids.”

To thank drivers for their support, Red Rooster Marrara will give free regular chips to customers between 27 February and 1 March who show proof of charge at the Marrara site.
