The average weekly diesel fuel price in Australia is down 1.6¢ to 203.8¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 12 February, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell 1.7¢ to 201.2¢ a litre, while the regional price fell 1.5¢ to 205.9¢ a litre.
The most expensive diesel in the country was in the Northern Territory at 230.9¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (212.2¢), Queensland (204.9¢), NSW/ACT (204.4¢), Victoria (203.7¢), South Australia (200.5¢), and Western Australia (197.4¢).
Of the major cities, Perth offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 192.6¢ a litre, followed by Adelaide (194.7¢), Sydney (200.6¢), Melbourne (202.2¢), Brisbane (203.6¢), Hobart (210.2¢), Canberra (212.6¢), and Darwin (216.7¢).
